Super Easy and Quick Garlic Bread
A very easy, kid-and family-friendly, indulgent little side if you don’t have a gluten or lactose allergy.
Ok so I don’t buy ultra-processed food or even very much processed food and we like to make a lot of things from scratch, but we’re working parents with so I’ll buy pre-baked baguettes for this last minute side. The kids like it and I don’t eat a ton of bread all the time, but a couple pieces of this uber-buttery, garlicky bread makes me happy, so there.
I do often cheat and use jarred, minced garlic for this because it’s easy and who cares. Nutritionists, though, will tell you fresh garlic retains more of the anti-inflammatory properties. But sometimes we just don’t have the time or will to mince or don’t want to dirty up another knife, it’s fine.
Here’s a funny video I made when Lily was 5 or 6 and I was still learning how to make and edit videos (I’m still learning). Lily, if you’re a teenager now and you see this, sorry (not sorry, I think it’s cute).
